Christian Counseling Center A ministry of Fleming Island Presbyterian Church
The Christian Counseling Center of Fleming Island Presbyterian Church is an outreach of the church to our community. It is staffed by Master’s level, board certified, and licensed counselors who are committed Christians. To make an appointment or to inquire about services call 269-2440.
Fleming Island Presbyterian Church (FIPC) has established a scholarship fund to aid those who have an economic need in obtaining individual/family counseling.

Bio's on our Counselors-
Jennifer P Weldon - is originally from a large Catholic family in North Dakota. In 1984 she graduated from a Presbyterian College in Jamestown, N.D. with a B.A. degree in Psychology and Youth Ministry. She attended Graduate school at The University of South Florida and in 1990 she graduated from the University of Georgia with her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work. She is board certified as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She has spent 22 years counseling youth, families, adults and groups. She has specialized training in the field of Eating Disorders. She currently serves on the Board of Director’s for Young Life in Clay County. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and American Association of Christian Counselors. She has had training in Theophostic Prayer Ministry and Stephen Ministry. She is currently an Adjunct Professor at St. John’s River Community College and a Faculty Advisor at The University of Phoenix. She has been married for 19 years to Dr. Jim Weldon. They have 3 children ages 16, 9 and 7. They were the founding family starting Fleming Island Presbyterian Church. She is also instrumental in starting the new Christian counseling Center of Fleming Island Presbyterian Church. Go back to top of page.

Bob McQueen - Bob McQueen, LMHC, MAC is a mental health counselor with sixteen years experience working with individuals, couples, adults, adolescents and children. He is fully licensed by the State of Florida and is certified at the state and national level in substance abuse. He was educated at the University of North Florida, graduated with a Master’s Degree in 1993. He has been married for 30 years, has three adult children and has been a Christian since 1973. In addition to his mental health credential, he has trained in intercessory prayer at Christian Healing Ministries with Francis and Judith MacNutt and Theophostic Prayer Ministry. He attends Celebration Church-Jacksonville and participates on the worship team.

Sandy Currie - Sandy Currie is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with seven years experience working in a variety of settings including: hospital inpatient psychiatric unit, hospice social worker, domestic violence shelter, community mental health center, and private practice. Sandy works with adults, couples, and families and specializes in issues such as relationships (dating, marriage, divorce, blended family), grief, self-esteem, abuse and trauma, chronic bipolar and depressive disorders, and life transition adjustment. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Sandy and her husband, George, attend St. Johns Presbyterian Church where Sandy is a Stephen Minister. George is a retired Navy officer. Their son, John, is involved in homeless service ministries in Los Angeles, and their daughter, Mary, is a first year medical student.
